I put this together myself (I’m 70 and female, but pretty handy). It took awhile, but I’m directionally challenged, and nowadays, directions are mostly pictures! There is a gap between the mattress and the bottom of the headboard. I purchased a 10″ mattress. But I cover the gap with pillows. The headboard does not move around, and I do lean against it to read. Overall, I’m satisfied with the product, with the speed with which it was shipped, and would buy again.

This is a very pretty headboard but unfortunately it isn’t packaged correctly. I ordered this item twice and still the same results. They used Styrofoam and it is stuck to the the item and I couldn’t get it off. It should be bubble wrapped. I struggled with this twice to package it back in the box and the second time it was delivered on a different delivery date, I wasn’t home and struggled to get it in my house. Very dissatisfied!

It’s cute but not strong at all. Very first night two of the middle legs broke off. I had to find something to hold the bed up, second night the third leg broke and so did the wood that holds up the slots, just by simply sitting down. Says it holds hundred of pounds but couldn’t hold me and I’m only 115 pounds.
