   This bed was well packaged and the wood was a beautiful color. It was more challenging to put together than expected. Once together, it looked great! And, as a light sleeper, I appreciated that it didn’t make any noise. It was so comfortable, that I stopped sleeping in my bed and slept in the guest room full-time!

   Sadly, within a year, the legs started turning outward and the side connected to the headboard began to split. I expected the whole side to come off at some point, but it was the four rows of slats closest to the headboard that ended up dropping to the floor that led me to finally throw it out. The bed lasted only about nine months. What a disappointment!

   Beautiful and easy to put together. The instructions were simple and the hardware was actually labeled and easy to open. It’s probably one of the easiest pieces of furniture I’ve put together.

   Very sturdy, dimensions as advertised. Fits our needs perfectly for a small guest room. Great size for standard twin bed. Like that mattress sits down about 2 inches below side rail and prevents mattress from moving around. Plenty of room to easily make bed. Negative: Heads of screws at end of bed connecting rails to head and foot are visible and not sunken so they can’t be covered. ( This is not visible in upholsteredbedframe.com ad) Three screws on the top rails of headboard and footboard are visible but sunken. ( This is also not visible in ad) We chose to use a matching wood putty to hide them, pretty successfully. No plugs or covers are provided. Otherwise they’re perfect for a small room where large-profile beds would be a tight fit. They don’t wiggle or shake at all.

   Good bed for the money. If you can get past these 2 things go ahead and get one. First, even though it was very easy to assemble, the holes that were pre-drilled for one of the pieces to fit on were drilled on the wrong end of the wood. For me it was no big deal to flip it over and drill a couple holes. Second, in the middle of the bed there are legs to hold up each side. I seem to kick it all the time and hurt my toes. I wish it wasn’t there, but I’m sure it makes the bed stronger. If I had to get another one I probably would, even though I still wouldn’t like the extra legs.

   So far so good, only one downside to this particular purchase and that was while assembling the piece that goes on the head of the bed was stripped somehow on both sides. Thankfully it doesn’t interfere with the sturdiness that I know of, that’s why I kept it plus it wasn’t too expensive so I’m not that surprised. I just put it together yesterday it only took about an hour. As For the slates they aren’t marked so you your self would have to gauge it on how far apart each strip of wood should be. I bought my son a memory foam mattress with no box spring and it holds fine without a box spring and just the mattress. Someone asked if a 10’ mattress would work, I think it would do fine my mattress in the pics is a 8’memory foam. Hope this helps!

   I got this bed for my handicapped brother. The first bed arrived damaged by the carrier. The company quickly replaced the broken bed with a new one. My sister and I put it together and he loves it. It is very sturdy and we really liked the style and color. I would highly recommend this bed and this company
