   Overall, 4.9/5 stars. Quality of materials is very good. All the visible wood is very nice hardwood, nice matte finish, very tasteful. Hardware is very good, better than I expected. Design is lovely. I wanted a nice wood platform bed with no headboard. I love the legs not being at the corners, it’s already saved me stubbing my toe a few times and it looks great. Non-visible wood is all plywood and laminate. It’s fine. It works. Of course you’d rather have solid wood but if it’s out of sight and it works, who cares, I guess? All the hardware was included, all of it was good quality, no bad threadings or inserts coming out or anything like that. Everything fit, and when you’re done it looks great. One tiny issue: I got no instructions! But I called the company and in two minutes a real live human told me where to look on the website to find the PDF. Maybe it’s not supposed to have instructions? Anyway, good fast customer service. If you don’t get instructions in yours, go to the Baxton Studio web site and search for “Kaia”, then pick the correct sized bed. You’ll go to a page that has a link to a PDF of the assembly instructions. I did add one thing. Once it was done the gap at the end of the slats was about 3.5″. That’s fine, but I have an all latex foam mattress. I didn’t want the foam to be sagging into the gap at the end of the bed when I sat on the edge of the bed. So ran out and bought a couple of 1″x3″x8′ boards and cut them to length, and screwed in some small blocks to the side rails. So in the images above, the very end slats are not included in the bed, they’re what I installed. I think with a normal inner coil mattress or certainly with a box spring you don’t need to do this. Probably even with mine you don’t really need it, but I felt better with more support at the ends. Anyway, I really like this bed. It was easy to assemble, the quality is great, the price was great, and it looks fantastic. Highly recommended.

   Not able to write a real review at this point – as I can’t assemble the bed frame. The package did not include any of the hardware OR any instructions so I’m at a loss for what to do. I’m trying to find a way to reach out to the manufacturer and I can’t figure it out.

   Looks awesome. Wood seems really nice. BUT. The slates were all miss aligned. I had to spend an extra hour drilling new holes for it. I think they cut the slates too short then drilled the holes, they measured from the cut ends.
