   Overall- great value. Sturdy. We have teenage boys sleeping on it and it’s very sturdy. The only negative was the installation required 4 people to hold poles and we had missing washers and screws. We luckily improvised with items we had in a tool kit from previous projects. The bolts for the poles were not long enough which made installation very frustrating because threading the bolt was hard to do when it doesn’t come out the other side. Some not so nice words were said by all. My 15 year old son was able to put the entire thing together with his 16 year old sister while dad and I assisted and made sure everything was properly secured. They did a good job, but lots of hands were required. It serves our needs, our space, and the price was great.

   We loved this bed. It didn’t squeak. We had very limited space so the space under it was where everything was. Set up was a little difficult. You def need 2 people. the ladder was very sturdy as well

   Less than 3 weeks of use and the ladder broke on my very small 8 year old. He fell and got hurt by the broken part.

   Very difficult to assemble. As other reviews mentioned the screws meet in the middle of the pole. This makes me question the stability of it and I will be replacing many of them with other less pretty but seemingly safer substitutes. I have put together many items of furniture over the years and this one made me want to send it back and would if it wasn’t already put together after many hours of frustration to have a product that is still missing screws. Also the ladder may fit both sides but be sure to know where your want it because I put the piece on the wrong side and would have to take the whole bed apart to fix it. I ended up just buying a hook on ladder so my son could use his bed.

   Very stable. Took my handyman about 45 minutes to put together. My son is over 100 pounds and there is little instability with climbing the ladder and during sleep. Nice product at a very affordable price.

   This bed was a challenge to build. I don’t curse but found myself doing so frequently. All parts were received but one of the back poles did not contain holes for the back brace. Talk about frustration after all that work! The seller responded quickly and sent a replacement. Although it was difficult to put together and came with a faulty pole, the customer service received warrants 4 stars. Mistakes happen and they were willing to fix it as quickly as possible. Thank you! My four year old loves his new bed and it saves a lot of space in the room. We have a full bed coming out from underneath and it really works well. Thank you for great customer care!

   This bed looks good and is sturdy enough to hold my teen, but it is extremely difficult to put together. The parts are well marked and fit together easily. The issue is with bolting it together! The bolts are not long enough to be seen on the other side of the hole, forcing you to blindly locate the nut and fit the end of the bolt to the nut inside of the tubes that are the support poles. It took 3 of us to put this together and many breaks to relieve the frustration of trying to match the end of the bolt to the center of the nut when were unable to see where they meet at.

   We purchased this bed for our 12-year-old daughter. I have almost no mechanical aptitude and often struggle with projects like this, but assembly was pretty easy. The instructions were very clear. The frame feels sturdy and looks nice. Daughter weighs about 85 lbs and tells me the frame feels very stable, not too wobbly. The padded ladder steps are very nice. She has a standard size twin mattress with a memory foam topper, and it fits fine. (If you’re concerned about a younger child potentially rolling off, then you’d want a thinner mattress so the side rail would stick up more.)

   We had one issue–the hardware kit was missing two of the little curved washers. We tried to purchase more at the local big box hardware store, but they are specialty items. I contacted the seller through upholsteredbedframe.com to report the issue, and the seller sent a replacement hardware kit almost immediately. Very pleased with that.

   I feel like this bed is an excellent value. We are completely satisfied with our purchase. I recommend this product without hesitation.

    My son loves it. I did not have any issue assembling this bed. You do need an additional person to help hold things during final assembly. I did not have any issue with the bolts like other commentators. It has freed up a lot of space in my sons room.

    Owned for only 7 months before the weld gave out on one of the steps. Poorly crafted would not purchase again.
